I have always loved designing experiences for others to use and enjoy.

The software user experience is a tool that must literally interact with its users. More importantly, it is a tool easily accessed by billions of people, most of whom stop using apps the moment they feel at all confused or intimidated.

I work to develop user experiences that are intuitive- simple enough to instantly understand yet efficient enough to rapidly navigate.

YoungLife is business and event discovery app I am building. The user experience is designed to enable users to find business or events to go to with minimal planning or effort. This is a user interface mockup built with Photoshop and MarvelApp.

I have always loved designing tools and toys for others to use/play with.

I also love designing user experiences to feel playful in their reactivity and aesthetic. In working this way, I hope that they entice users; I do my best to make the user feel as though their tool is happy to help them.

Good Happens is a website designed to remind people of the happiness in our world. Anytime anyone is hysterically laughing, feeling loved, or simply in a great mood, they would go to the webpage and click on the appropriate emoji. From there they might go on to see data on how many people are or have been in similar moods.

American Movie Company Website

I designed the American Movie Company website to feel grand yet fun, tantalizing visitors with the business’ services while feeling accessible and welcoming. To do this, I used a color pallet of rich earth tones (primarily navy and red) combined with fun graphics and animations. (One such graphic is the logo, which we re-designed to feel like a WW2 army patch). To help tantalize potential clients, I incorporated images to match every service offered by the American Movie Company.

The most difficult aspect of the AmericanMovieCo.com user experience was my focus on imagery and search engine optimization. After months of work, not only is it one of the highest-ranking websites for relevant Google searches but also one of the fastest to load. (This is because it is a website for a video production company. Websites for such businesses are full of images and videos, which often lead to slow loading times.) Every page on AmericanMovieCo.com is filled with media and loads in under two seconds.
